Music on a Monday

Not sure what was in the air today, but it was quite a nice Monday as a I heard from several readers about things they like in the paper.

In particular, one longtime reader stopped in to say how much she appreciated our Sunday story, "The two sides of Brian Neiman," and the sensitivity shown in the writing by Pete Bosak.

Two other readers called saying essentially the same thing, and a few other readers had nice words for some other things we do.

Wow, that was music for a Monday, when editors often hear from readers angry about going back to work or something like it.

Not that I mind complaints. I realize they make the world go around and readers often make very good points. They often give me ideas, and I certainly appreciate when they take time to call or e-mail.

But back to today, it was a very nice Monday in August. Wonder, can we bottle it?
