Helping in Mississippi

We're in a new year, but problems remain in Mississippi from the devastation of Katrina.

Big problems. Quality of life problems.

But progress is being made, and today we salute a Centre County group that is making a difference, under the leadership of Perry Bapp.

Read our report sent in by our sister paper in Biloxi and know these volunteers are representing the best of Happy Valley and helping so much in Mississippi.

As I wrote in November after visiting Biloxi, Mississippi residents thank you for anything you do for them. Anything you do. And Bapp's group leading the charge.

Great job, everyone.
